What Is Money Smart?

Money Smart is the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) financial educational program, and distributed in conjunction with Christian Financial Ministries, for adults with little or no banking experience.

 

Money Smart consists of ten (10) instructor-led training modules covering basic financial topics, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and home ownership. And, the Money Smart curriculum contains everything to begin teaching the program immediately.

Currently available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese, Christian Financial Ministries distributes the Money Smart CD in English. Please contact Christian Financial Ministries directly for languages other than English. A CD in the other available languages will be shipped to you at no charge. Please note: The Interactive Computer-Based Instruction CD is currently available in English and Spanish only. There is a separate CD offering the course in all above languages.

Q. Can I leave the Money Smart program and come back later?

A. Yes. The Online CBI program will remember where you stopped, as long as you come back in using the same name and other identification responses on the login screen as you used the previous time. You will be prompted whether you want to resume where you left off. If you are using the CBI CD-ROM, you must also use the same computer that you used the previous time.
